Welcome to Scrapping 'Ell, the home of sustainable, slow fashion crafted by Ellie Flinders. Founded in 2021, Scrapping 'Ell is a joyful brand that upcycles secondhand clothing and vintage materials to create beautifully crafted garments.

At Scrapping 'Ell, you'll discover chic pieces featuring larger-than-life ruffles, puff sleeves, vibrant colors, and textured fabrics. Each garment is meticulously designed and handmade by Ellie in her London studio, using locally sourced vintage materials.

Ellie's process involves designing, fabric sourcing, pattern drafting, cutting, sewing, steaming, labeling, packaging, and dispatching each item with a personal handwritten note. By repurposing discarded fabrics, Scrapping 'Ell aims to save beautiful materials from ending up in landfills and give them new life.

The idea for Scrapping 'Ell emerged during Ellie's furlough from her fashion buying job in mid-2020. Frustrated by the unsustainable practices in the fashion industry, Ellie decided to pursue her passion for design, craftsmanship, and sustainability.

With a background in Textile Design from Chelsea College of Art and Design, Ellie has always been drawn to the challenge of creating something new from old materials. She is dedicated to using existing fabrics to minimize environmental impact and believes in the beauty and potential of vintage textiles.
